What is the meaning of “Kanlungan” ?

 “ Kanlungan ” is a home for everyone who has a passion in making this world a paradise,

 a land of promise, a place of comfort.

What kind of organization is the “Kanlungan” ?

 “ Kanlungan ” is an environmental movement composed of empowered volunteers that will analyze, 

 interpret, and resolve the environmental situations in certain communities.

What inspired the organization in choosing the name “Kanlungan” ?

The organization chose the name “ Kanlungan ” because of its denotative meaning, where in young 

and adult people can easily relate to. Like in this organization, the Founder envisioned of having a great

home to stay where every one of us is looking forward.

Historical Background

Don Bosco Youth Center is a youth center with a vision to have 

young generation of servant – leaders who will build the nation hands – on, meet constant change with perpetual learning, and find its comfort zone in a networked world.

In our country especially here in Don Bosco Tondo – we cannot deny that there are many of our young people are not fully aware and responsible on the present situations of our environment.
